Scope and Contents

Chemawa history compilation written by Charles E. Larsen with fowards from his daugher Vivienne Larsen Youngblood with research on students who formally attended Chemawa as well as press release by Ruthyn Turney. In addition, documentation regarding the school relocation, name change, memorandums, health concerns, Chemawas poor financial sitituation which conflicted with the institutions ability to remain open and documentation from the alumni association (mainly documenting the events of June 1927). A compilation of Chemawa alumni information gathered by Charles E. Larsen consisting of graduating class lists with the addition of blood quantum documentarion, tribe affiliation, residence, and/or job post-graduation. Ranging from 1885-1949.
