Oral interview additions, 2014 January

Amos participated in an Oral History interview conducted by Roger Hull, Professor Emeritus of Art History and Senior Faculty Curator, Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University. In the interview, Amos discusses his childhood in northern Idaho and the trials of living with an abusive father. He also talks of his time at Portland State University; his philosophy, Preliminism; and his artwork. Context is given to various parts of his collection including The Village, where he lived with Diane and his mother, Jean; the large house on Savier street in Portland; taking care of his mother who was afflicted with Alzheimer's disease; and the compilation, or lack thereof, of his archive. Also in attendance for this interview were Diane Amos, Bonnie Hull, and University Archivist, Mary McRobinson. Amos supplemented his oral history interview with several written addenda via email.
