Scope and Contents
This series features Bessie (née Swope) and Emmett Forsythe's collected correspondence, photography, and her writings and academic work, and other assorted ephemera. The materials in the collection are from as early as 1900, spanning to the early 1970s. The Forsythes' correspondence includes letters written to family members such as Emmett's sister, Irene Hanson, as well as to their daughter and many other correspondents such as the men Emmett Forsythe served with in both World Wars and friends of Bessie Forsythe.
