Scope and Contents
This subseries contains incoming and outgoing correspondence generated by Hooley’s office and constituents of Oregon’s Fifth District. The Fifth District is comprised of Lincoln, Marion, Polk, and Tillamook counties as well as part of Benton, Clackamas, and Multnomah counties.
The Correspondence subseries contains correspondence between Hooley and constituents on a variety of topics related to issues such as the Iraq war, Hurricane Katrina, Portland, Oregon’s airport, and environmental issues. There is a group of letters and drawings from a Heritage Elementary School, Woodburn, Oregon 5th grade class; letters on the Iraq war from an 8th grade Social Studies class at Ogden Middle School, Oregon City, Oregon; and an Education petition signed by students of Rex Putnam High School in Milwaukie, Oregon.

Library of form replies (also known as Text Codes, form letters that can be generated on any subject needed, such as Education, Energy or Veteran’s issues); and 4. Thank you correspondence. The sub-subseries are organized in either alphabetical or chronological order, whichever is more appropriate.
