Scope and Contents

This series includes letters, cards, and notes from and to Ruth Dennis Grover and covers such topics as Grover's rock collecting, cutting, and polishing; her early work as a commercial artist in Michigan and Oregon; her association with the Lincoln County Art Center; her role as director of Cascade Artists, which she founded in 1952 and her career as an independent artist exhibiting and publicizing her art in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. There are also letters from Martha Kay Renfroe concerning various art shows and sales Grover and Renfroe participated in.
