This collection consists of two books (one published and one unpublished) created by Helen Johnson Keyser, probably during her time at the WPA (Works Progress Administration), circa 1935-1943. Some supporting and informational material is also included.

Biographical / Historical
Helen Johnson Keyser was born on July 7, 1916. She served a short stint as an artist for the Iowa Craft Project of the WPA (Works Progress Administration) before marrying Ralph E. Keyser, Jr. She had a twenty-year teaching career, mostly in special education. Keyser worked in a variety of media as an artist from oils to stained glass. She died on April 2, 2015.
