From the Series:

This series contains scrapbooks created by students to document their time at Willamette University. Largely covering the early half of the twentieth century, students' scrapbooks included programs, letters, souvenirs, photographs, and newspaper clippings. Programs include dances and dinners put on by campus fraternities, sororities, and residential organizations. Letters are from loved ones on-campus and at home. Collected souvenirs include dried flowers, pencils, name-cards, and in the case of Barbara Crookham Euler, tea bags and wedding cake.

Biographical / Historical

Margaret Howerton, class of 1936, was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha sorority. Included in her scrapbook are programs from events and souvenirs from the students' push to bring dancing back to the Willamette campus.
