From the Series:

This series contains scrapbooks created by students to document their time at Willamette University. Largely covering the early half of the twentieth century, students' scrapbooks included programs, letters, souvenirs, photographs, and newspaper clippings. Programs include dances and dinners put on by campus fraternities, sororities, and residential organizations. Letters are from loved ones on-campus and at home. Collected souvenirs include dried flowers, pencils, name-cards, and in the case of Barbara Crookham Euler, tea bags and wedding cake.

Biographical / Historical

Esther Parounagian graduated in 1923 with a degree in Biology. She was a member of the Philodosian literary society, the Y.W.C.A, the Beta Chi sorority, and was the May Queen. She married Ralph Barnes in 1924. Ralph was a foreign correspondent from 1926 to 1940.
